11.2 Jurisdictional Restrictions
Access to, or use of, NXT Protocol may be subject to varying legal requirements depending on your location, residency, citizenship, or the regulatory classification of digital assets in your jurisdiction. Some regions impose strict licensing regimes, prohibit the distribution of security-like tokens, or restrict decentralised finance platforms altogether. Consequently, certain features of NXT may be unavailable, limited, or require additional vetting for users in specific territories.
It is the sole responsibility of each individual or entity to determine whether their interaction with any element of the NXT ecosystem is lawful and permissible under local statutes, administrative rules, court decisions, and regulatory guidance. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, the legal right to acquire or hold digital tokens, to participate in secondary markets, or to engage in governance activities. Any mention of NXT products or services should not be interpreted as an intention to solicit users where local laws forbid such solicitation.
NXT does not knowingly permit prohibited persons—such as those on sanctions lists, politically exposed persons without enhanced due-diligence approval, or under-age individuals—to access restricted features. Where feasible, the protocol or its service providers may employ geo-blocking, identity screening, or other compliance tools. However, technological measures are not foolproof, and users may still bear ultimate liability for false attestations or circumvention attempts. NXT reserves the right to modify access controls without prior notice if regulatory interpretations evolve or if continuing service would violate statutory obligations.
By interacting with the protocol or any affiliated interface, you affirm that you are not a resident, citizen, or entity organised in a location where such participation is limited or forbidden. You also affirm that you have obtained all necessary approvals, licences, or registrations required by your governing authorities. Failure to do so could expose you to civil, criminal, or administrative penalties, and NXT disclaims any responsibility for such outcomes.
